Weird Beard Embers Never Fade Chilli Mango WC IPA

THE BREWERY SAYS:

A West Coast IPA, but with a twist. We wanted the bitterness and classic piney hop profile of the West Coast IPAs of the past, but laughed off the clarity for a more modern murk. We went for a super simple mash of extra pale malt, as we wanted the colour from the Mango to really come through, and boy was there a lot of mango. The body is has a nice silky feel, but not as thick as the more modern IPAs. We then added home grown Scotch Bonnet chillies to the boil, and then to the fermenter. For the hops it had to be Citra and Amarillo, but with a visit from their NZ friend Wai-iti to bring a slightly tropical edge. Expect a massive hit of Mango on the nose, followed by a slightly tropical, sweet, fruity (well let’s just say it, mango) hit on the taste buds, with a chilli heat that builds the more you drink.
