The Kernel brewery springs from the need to have more good beer. Beer deserving of a certain attention. Beer that forces you to confront and consider what you are drinking. Upfront hops, lingering bitternesses, warming alcohols, bodies of malt. Lengths and depths of flavour. We make Pale Ales, India Pale Ales and old school London Porters and Stouts towards these ends. Bottled alive, to give them time to grow.

Kernel are royalty in the London brewery scene and their beers stand the test of time over and over again. While some breweries chase trends and look for the next trend in craft beer Kernel just continue to do what they do so very well and brew great beer. There is no fuss or ceremony and things drift under the radar a little but if you are looking for almost perfect examples of beer in each style then Kernel are the brewery for you. Be it Table, IPA, Pale or Porter they have all styles nailed down. Sometime aloof, seeming illusive, this brewery just gets on with it. Seek them out and enjoy their timeless classics. Our all time favourite is the India Double Porter but you won’t be let down my any Kernel beer in their range.
